Community Building

We believe in the future of our region’s English-speaking community and in connecting its members not only to one another, but to the Francophone community as well.

Projects and services related to heritage, culture, community identity, volunteerism, art, literacy, and more are continually developed to work towards this goal.
These include:

Do you have a community event planned? Or perhaps you want to know what is going on in and around Métis. We publish Info Métis, the bilingual community and municipal bulletin, featuring monthly Métis activities and services. If you would like to be on the mailing list please contact:

Are you new to the Lower Saint Lawrence region? Contact us to obtain a Welcome Package for useful information on your local area, community, health resources, and other benefits.

Interested in volunteering? Please contact us! Volunteers are a vital part of our organization and community, and there are multiple ways for you to get involved with us, no matter what age you may be.

We would like to thank all the volunteers who have worked with us in the past and/or work with us today, for their dedicated work and passion for the community.

We host annual Canada Day Celebrations in Métis-sur-Mer on every July 1st. Past programming has included a hot dog lunch and sandcastle building contest on Turriff Beach, as well as a flag ceremony at the Métis Beach School. Check back here for this year’s programming, and we hope to see you there!
