Whether you are a senior wanting to learn how to keep in touch using modern day technology in this time of social distancing or you are a young person looking to give back by becoming a Volunteer Tech Mentor. Cybersecurity Webinar: ScarewareMonday, Oct 19, 12:00 pm Eastern TimeRegister Has this ever happened to you? You’re browsing online when a pop-up ad appears on your screen warning you that your computer is infected with dozens of viruses. The ad conveniently says that you can remove all of these viruses by buying antivirus software that will immediately eliminate them. If you’ve seen this, you’ve been hit with a scareware attack. Scareware is a scam where cybercriminals attempt to gain access to your credit card information, and often your computer by tricking you into buying fake antivirus software. This Webinar will teach you how to identify scareware attacks and show you how to help you avoid those pesky pop-up advertisements.

Community ChatTuesday, Oct 20, 1:00 pm Eastern TimeRegister At Cyber-Seniors our focus has always been to decrease social isolation and close the generation gap. No matter your age or situation, this can be an increasingly lonely time. So let’s all get together and talk about what’s keeping us happy right now! We will be doing a weekly chat where everyone is welcome to share what they are doing to stay positive during this time.
