The incumbent adheres to the vision and mission of HLSL and is committed to following the applicable bylaws and internal governance policies. &nbsp; <b>KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:<\/b><ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\">Recording of day-to-day bank transactions<\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\">Make the necessary data entries in Sage 50 according to the directives of the financial controller<\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\">Handling the accounts payable ledger<\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\">Sending out invoices and managing the accounts receivable ledger<\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\">Managing payrolls and source deduction payments<\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\">Producing employment statements and end of year tax slips\u00a0<\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\">Electronically archiving bookkeeping records<\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\">Performing any other related tasks<\/li><\/ul><b>QUALIFICATIONS &amp; SKILLS*:\u00a0<\/b><ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\">Functional bilingualism (English and French) oral and written;<\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\">Ability to work with the following software and platforms; Google Suite, Office Suite, Sage 50 and more as required;<\/li><\/ul><b>QUALIFICATIONS &amp; SKILLS (con\u2019t):\u00a0<\/b><ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\">Good knowledge of basic accounting, financial controls and budget forecasting;<\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\">Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and a high degree of autonomy;<\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\">Team spirit, professionalism and flexibility;<\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\">Good time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks;<\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\">College diploma (a qualification in accounting\/bookkeeping is an asset).<\/li><\/ul> * Any combination of training and experience will be considered, we also offer the possibility to provide training. &nbsp; <b>TERMS<\/b>: 10 to 15h\/week at $18 to $20\/hour (depending on experience) &nbsp; <b>STARTING DATE<\/b>: February 2022 &nbsp; <b>LOCATION: <\/b>At a distance, preferably EST timezone. &nbsp; <b>APPLICATIONS:\u00a0<\/b> HLSL adheres to the <i>Employment Equity Act. <\/i>Employment equity, for the four (4) designated groups that are women, people with disabilities, Aboriginal peoples, and visible minorities, is apply to ensure equal opportunities to all applicants.
