What are these typical changes, when do we expect them to happen and are there some ways that we can slow their progression or even, maybe, prevent further deterioration? <strong>Objectives<\/strong><ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\">To understand the impact of a hearing loss on cognitive functions<\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\">To understand how hearing and balance are intricately related<\/li><\/ul><strong>About Your Presenter<\/strong> Ms. Auger obtained her Masters degree in Audiology &amp; Speech Therapy from the Universit\u00e9 de Montr\u00e9al She worked in hospitals and rehabilitation centers prior to opening her own private clinic, Audiology Centre West in Montreal 25 years ago. Over the years she has offered services in hearing health for all ages, eventually specializing in tinnitus &amp; hyperacusis issues as well as balance and equilibrium problems. She also taught at both Universit\u00e9 de Montr\u00e9al and Universit\u00e9 d\u2019Ottawa as an assistant professor and is currently still regularly invited to present to the students in audiology. In 2016, she received the \u201cprix carri\u00e8re en audiologie\u201d from her peers at the school of audiology and speech therapy at Universit\u00e9 de Montr\u00e9al.
