we believe in reading

In addition to being  meeting places, our two resource centres house a bilingual public library in Métis-sur-Mer and a second one offering English books in Rimouski.

Heritage Lower Saint-Lawrence is proud to provide two resource centres, one of which houses a bilingual public library in Métis-sur-Mer, and the other offers English-language books in Rimouski. These resource centres function as welcoming meeting places (during normal, non-pandemic times.)

Both of our libraries are part of Réseau BIBLIO du Bas-Saint-Laurent and home to a wide variety of books for adults, teens, and young ones. There is no fee to become a member. Contact your library to become a member or for additional information.

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, all the requests will be handled either over the phone: 418-936-3239, extension 224 or by email: library.Metis@heritagelsl.ca . For now and until further notice, there will be no public (in-person) access to the libraries or resource centres.
