HLSL is delighted to partner once again with the magnificent Manoir Fraser (32 Rue Fraser, Rivière-du-Loup, QC, G5R 1C2) in Rivière-du-Loup for an afternoon of tea and bilingual conversation. To celebrate the opening of the new permanent exhibition at Manoir Fraser, attendees are invited to a bilingual lecture from Dr John Willis, curator of Economic History at the Canadian Museum of History. 

Dr Willis’ lecture will start at 1 p.m. at St Bartholomew’s Anglican Church (5 Rue du Domaine, Rivière-du-Loup, QC G5R 2P6) and is titled ‘Gens d’ici, gens errants, gens d’ailleurs: Migrants from Notre-Dame-du-Portage, in the Belle Epoque (1870s-1920s).’
