In preparation for Remembrance Day, we are happy to announce we are updating our list of Lower Saint-Lawrence-connected Veterans and Armed Forces Serving Members and relaunching our virtual memorial. It’s been some time since this list was thoroughly audited, and we’re asking for your help to ensure every person is accurately recognized.
Our primary goals is to add missing names, correct any spelling errors, and update service details. Check the list and if you are or know of a person serving now, or a veteran or ancestor serving in Canada’s Forces in the past who is not listed, please take a moment to provide us with the following details:
Full name (with rank, if desired)
Branch of service (e.g., army, navy, air force, medical, other)
Dates or era of service (e.g., WWII, Vietnam, peacetime, etc.)
Photos (e.g., in uniform or at work).
Our second goal is to collect new information, images, artefacts, and stories from or about those who put their lives on the line in the service of our country and each other. Please call us or email info@heritagelsl.ca if you have any material to share that can be used for exhibits and/or on our website.
