A performer of blues and traditional music, John Kerkhoven is a harmonica player, singer and songwriter based in Matane, Québec.

John has performed with some of the best of Montreal’s blues scene including Pat Loiselle, David Lines, Jitterbug Swing, Rob Lutes and the veteran Stephen Barry who played the upright bass in John’s band, The Mojo Vipers, along with guitar-player Paul Serralheiro.

The duo Benmanque Blues (John Kerkhoven & Antoine Hamilton) will take us on a musical and geographic journey through the roots of blues from Louisiana to Mississippi to Chicago and many more.
