A Wardrobe of Memories Exhibit & Trails of History Book Launch

1:00 p.m.
Town Hall, Métis-sur-Mer +

Exhibit Preview: HLSL is proud to invite you to the preview of an exhibit called A Wardrobe of Memories, which will be on display at the Town Hall from March 1-8, 2026. The event gives a taste of a larger exhibit of garments and accessories from the end of the 19th century up until the 1960’s, a period when Métis-sur-Mer (Metis Beach, as it was then known) was truly in its heyday. As part of the larger exhibit, these items will be on display Summer 2026.

Book Launch: At 1:30 p.m. the long-awaited historical guidebook Trails of History will be launched. The book, which has been painstakingly researched, written and edited, with its content made available in both French and English, began through a project called Live Our Heritage, and was made possible through funding from Canadian Heritage, ELAN (the English-Language Arts Network) via their Trellis Micro-grant program, and the Jack Herbert Foundation. We are immensely proud of the book, which features 5 trails, and a multitude photographs and historical tidbits about Metis-sur-Mer and surrounding areas. We hope you’ll join us in celebrating its release.
