This unique event with La cueilleuse indigène Isabelle Simard is sure to connect you with nature and open your eyes to the beauty and power of plants. We are thrilled to be offering this event for our community, with thanks to our funders, Canadian Heritage, Health Canada, the CHSSN, and the SQREA (Secretariat aux relations avec les quebecois de l’expression anglaise). The event will take place in English.
Here is a summary of what you can expect:
📍 We will meet at the Croc-Nature Garden, located on Route 132 in Saint-Simon-de-Rimouski (behind the community hall of Les Jardins). We’ll start the day gently with a gathering in the little garden, followed by a walk to observe the fruit trees and the autumn plants still thriving.
🍂 Then, we’ll head to Isabelle’s yurt at 427 Route 132, also in Saint-Simon-de-Rimouski. Once comfortably settled in, we’ll take time to talk about seasonal plants, upcoming harvests, and Isabelle will share her books and knowledge.
☕ Herbal tea will be served in a warm and comfortable setting with time for enriching conversation amongst participants, organizers, and the facilitator.
Registration is open with limited spots available. Adults pay a $10.00 registration charge, kids under 18 are free.
