Heritage Lower Saint Lawrence (HLSL) is pleased to announce
the appointment of Mr. Alain Latulippe as Executive Director of HLSL effective
February 17, 2020.
Alain was a career diplomat and joins us after 28 years of international management
experience at senior levels, including as Ambassador in Africa, Latin America and
Central Europe. His government work with civil society and his sharp understanding
of the challenges of minority rights in diverse environments will be an asset for his
work in the Québec non-profit sector.
“Heritage has a team of experienced staff delivering services to the
English-speaking population of the Lower St. Lawrence. With the
appointment of Alain Latulippe as Executive Director, we welcome
an experienced professional to lead this team to broaden the reach
of the organization and strengthen its programs and activities. We
wish him success in this new role and are excited about the future
that lies ahead,” commented Alexander Reford, president of the
Board of Directors.
With this appointment comes the end of a chapter: the departure of Melanie Leblanc,
who led the organization for five years. HLSL wishes to thank Melanie for her
dedication and commitment to the organization. We wish her well and welcome
Alain.
HLSL mobilizes people and resources to support the vitality of the English-speaking
community of the region, foster the well-being of all its members, and promote its
interests. We offer many free English activities and services: a public library, support
for access to English services (by appointment), health videoconferences, storytime
for kids a well as various artistic, cultural and health-related activities.
