Kasàlà Workshop with Elise Argouac’h

Kasala Workshop with Elise

The “Je m’expose au français’’ project aims to bring together the anglophone and francophone communities. By offering cultural activities in French, English language speakers have the opportunity to perfect their oral and written French in a fun and friendly environment. Its mission is also to facilitate the integration of English speaking newcomers and help them create ties to their community.

Kasàlà is a poetic art form originating in the African Sub-Sahara. It is a wondrous art that celebrates humans, nature, life and their links. Learning Kasàlà provides a beautiful encounter between people, at times intimate, at times playful. For many people, it also provides a chance to learn more about themselves, to create and improve their communication skills.

In this workshop, we will be doing bodywork in the form of meditation, writing techniques and learning how to declaim Kasàlà.
