“Then And Now” Photo Contest

Part of the Live our Heritage project is a photo contest. The theme is ‘Then and Now’ as we explore our journey from the past to the present. All photos will become part of the final exhibit that will happen during September of 2022. We want to see Métis in all its beauty from THEN to how it has changed to NOW!  The only restriction that we have is that you do not trespass on private property. Please ask permission or take your photo from the road.  Please contact Micheline Williams (581-814-2186 to share them via USB key or by email mwilliams@heritagelsl.ca ) with subject: LOH Photo Contest.  
Dates:Start date: June 1, 2022         End date: Aug 31, 2022
Open to●      Amateur photographers of all ages (groups Adults and Students). ●      Professionals may also enter but will not be eligible for prizes. ●      Can be a permanent resident, summer resident or visitor to Metis-sur-Mer
Categories●      Then and Now: recreate any personal old photo using the same people or new people. Can also be a home, pet, landscapes, or buildings. Be creative and have fun!
RegionThe photographs must have been taken in the municipality of Metis-sur-Mer with the exceptions of the Trails category that includes parts of Grand Metis, St. Octave, Price, and Ste. Flavie.
Number of entriesEach photographer can enter up to 5 photos.
ExhibitAll entries will be exhibited, and winning photos will be enlarged.
JudgingA panel of 3 professional photographers will pick the winners in each category.
OwnershipParticipants in the contest must be the authors and the unique owner of the rights to the photographs submitted. Participants must also confirm that they have obtained the consent to use the photos of those who appear in the photos submitted.
CopyrightsBy participating in this contest, the photographer agrees to provide Heritage Lower St Lawrence permission for the following non-exclusive rights: ●      To reproduce, publish and exhibit each of the photographs without fees, usage or time limitations. The participant remains the owner of the image At the end of the competition the photographs will be added to the image bank of Heritage Lower St Lawrence and photo credits will always be given, with each use.
Format●      Photographs cannot exceed 8MB in size to facilitate the print. ●      They must be in .jpg or ,tiff format. ●      Each photo must be named with your title, category, year and place taken ●      They should be submitted electronically by email to mwilliams@heritagelsl.ca ;  with the subject line of LOH Photo Contest. ●      They may also be submitted by USB key by contacting Micheline Williams.

Concours de photos “D’hier à aujourd’hui”

Une partie du projet “Vivre notre Héritage” est un concours de photos. Le thème est « D’hier à Aujourd’hui » alors que nous explorons notre voyage du passé au présent. Toutes les photos feront partie de l’exposition finale qui aura lieu en septembre 2022. Nous voulons voir Métis dans toute sa beauté d’Hier à Aujourd’hui, en passant par les changements qu’ils ont subis. Nous voulons voir Métis à travers vos yeux.  La seule restriction que nous avons est que vous n’empiètez pas sur une propriété privée. SVP, veuillez demander la permission ou prendre votre photo du bord de la route.  Veuillez contacter Micheline Williams (581-814-2186 pour les partager via une clé USB ou par courriel à mwilliam@heritagelsl ca. Ouvert aux●       Photographes amateurs de tous âges (regroupés en Adultes et enfants de 12 ans et moins).

●       Les professionnels peuvent également participer mais ne pourront pas recevoir de prix.

●       Résident permanent, résident d’été ou visiteur à Métis-sur-Mer

Catégories●       D’hier à aujourd’hui : recréer n’importe quelle ancienne photo personnelle en utilisant les mêmes personnes ou de nouvelles personnes. Il peut également s’agir d’un bâtiment, d’un animal de compagnie ou d’un paysage. Soyez créatifs et amusez-vous!
RégionLes photographies doivent avoir été prises dans la municipalité de Métis-sur-Mer, à l’exception de la catégorie Sentiers qui comprend des parties de Grand Métis, St Octave, Price et Ste Flavie.
Nombre d’inscriptionsChaque photographe peut présenter jusqu’à 5 photos par catégorie.
ExpositionToutes les contributions seront exposées, et les photos gagnantes seront agrandies.
Les jugesUn jury de 3 photographes professionnels désignera les gagnants de chaque catégorie.
PropriétéLes participants au concours doivent être les auteurs et le propriétaire unique des droits sur les photographies soumises. Les participants doivent également confirmer qu’ils ont obtenu l’autorisation d’utiliser les photos de ceux qui apparaissent dans les photos soumises.
Droits d’auteurEn participant à ce concours, le photographe accepte de donner à Héritage Bas-Saint-Laurent l’autorisation d’utiliser les droits non exclusifs suivants :

●       reproduire, publier et exposer chacune des photographies sans frais, usage ou limite de temps.

Le participant demeure propriétaire de l’image.

À la fin du concours, les photographies seront ajoutées à la banque d’images de Patrimoine Bas-Saint-Laurent et les crédits photographiques seront toujours donnés, à chaque utilisation.

Format●       Les photographies ne peuvent pas dépasser 8 MB afin de faciliter l’impression d’un tirage 11 x 17.

●       Elles doivent être au format .jpg ou .tiff.

●       Chaque photo doit être nommée avec votre titre, votre catégorie, l’année et le lieu où elle a été prise

●       Ils doivent être envoyés par courrier électronique à l’adresse mwilliam@heritagelsl.ca, avec l’objet : le concours de photos LOH.

●       Ils peuvent également être soumis par clé USB en contactant Micheline Williams.
