Come and enjoy and evening of music with Rob Lutes. A masterful fingerstyle guitarist with an unmistakable, soulful voice, Rob Lutes has steadily built a collection of exquisite songs that inhabit the intersection of folk, Americana, country, blues and the contemporary singer-songwriter genre.
Our Heritage LSL team will be in Rivière-du-Loup to celebrate the diversity of our community with an intercultural potluck! Let’s celebrate the Spring season with our favorite dishes from various cultural origins. Would you like to join us?
Hosted by Margaret Winn, Heritage Assistant Director, who is currently working at a distance from Brazil. Margaret has had the chance to travel widely over the last 15 years, and calls the Lower Saint Lawrence home. During this week’s Tea Time, she’ll present some photos of her recent Brazilian adventures in the states of Minas Gerais and Sao Paulo. This will be followed by a general discussion about travel, its challenges and thrills, along with memorable trips taken. Adventures guaranteed!
The next tea-time on Nov 25th has the theme of “Remembering our heroes”, where everyone is invited to come and share stories of our Veterans and loved ones who have been through wartime. Do mark your calendars and come join us!
Our virtual tea-time is a bi-weekly online gathering of our community members to share their stories and interests around a cuppa tea! We have a special themed discussion for every alternate tea-time. The special theme for our tea-time on October 28th is on electric cars.
The Heritage team is pleased to continue offering virtual biweekly Tea Time gatherings this Fall! We will also be offering Special Theme Tea Times like we did for Christmas Traditions, Collecting and Saving Seeds, and WW2 and the Lower St. Lawrence. We invite all our participants to suggest themes of interest for upcoming gatherings.
