With a renewed surge of passion and commitment in the Métis-sur-Mer community, a new local community-led museum project has begun, dedicated to honouring the rich history, stories, and traditions of the area. Come spend a magical moment at Parc Lepage in Rimouski in a festive lantern parade and sing Christmas carols together with the teachers and students of the Conservatoire de Musique de Rimouski. Come participate with your lanterns!
Celebrate this festive season by making your own magic lanterns using simple and easily available materials and techniques with our facilitator Anja Kreysch. Anja is originally from Germany, and she would like to bring this Nordic tradition of lantern-making and lantern parade to Quebec! Come make your own handmade lanterns in our workshops at the Marché de Noël de Rimouski, or at home in our online workshop.
Join Lynn Fournier and Karine Berthelette for a creative workshop. Participate in a mindfulness activity and create a circle artwork which includes your handprint. Your circle will then be integrated in the production of a larger container mural.
