INTRODUCING MACRAME!

Macrame is a fiber art technique tying knots into rope or yarn to form intricate patterns and designs. Relaxing and meditative by nature, macrame is a very approachable art form.  Our proposed projects will make great gifts or lovely additions to your home! You will learn various macrame knot techniques and how to create wall hangings and plant hangers.

WORKSHOP DETAILS:

Do you want to learn something new, while being safe at home? Our workshops are 2 hours on 4 specific Sundays. Each workshop will begin with hands-on demonstration of macrame knots. You can watch, learn and absorb the technique, tips and nuances from our instructor. There will also be time given for you to practice what you just learned. The idea is to connect with the other community members through the learning of a new craft! You may ask specific questions at any time!

Macrame takes practice, concentration and more practice. Most projects take a couple of hours to make, so you should plan to sign up for the entire series of our 4 workshops in order to finish your project(s). We will be working on the same project, to facilitate teaching online. Once you are comfortable with the basics, you may want to explore more complex projects on your own after the workshops.
